October 13, 2006, Newsletter Issue #26: Celebrate Easter in New York City

Tip of the Week

Do you have travel plans during Easter? If you're in the New York City area, there'll be plenty of Easter celebrations going on. Check out the New York Easter Parade, which takes place every year, morning through afternoon on Fifth Avenue. Don't expect to see any floats or marching bands, but this is one parade that is worth checking out. From folks dressed up in civil war era attire to outrageous costumes like outfits decorated with live animals, you'll be sure to get an eyeful. To get a great view of the procession, try staking out a spot on the viewing platforms around St. Patrick's Cathedral.

Can't get enough of the Easter Bunny and Easter eggs? Make sure to go to the Annual New York Easter Egg Hunt Eggstravaganza in Central Park too! Check the local listings for the time and date of this fun-filled event.
